I was not really a tea person during my childhood or even throughout most of my studies. It slowly became a habit after my degree, during a phase when I finally had some free time in life.

One of the reasons tea became special to me was because of the conversations that came along with it. I still remember spending time with my mom, sitting together with a cup of tea, talking about random things, daily life, and future plans. Somewhere in those simple moments, tea quietly became part of my routine.

During my master’s, I couldn’t continue the habit consistently, but once I joined the IT industry, things completely changed. In IT, almost every day feels like Tea Day. Morning stand-ups, evening breaks, discussions during stressful deployments, casual catch-ups with teammates — tea somehow became the background companion for all of them.

Over time, I realized tea was never just about the drink itself.

Tea created conversations.

It helped me connect with friends, colleagues, known people, and sometimes even complete strangers. Some discussions turned into friendships, some became learning experiences, and some simply became memorable moments.

Today, tea plays different roles in my life:

  • A morning wake-up call ☀️
  • A small stress reliever during busy workdays 💻
  • A reason to take a short break and reset 🔄
  • A companion for conversations and ideas 💭

For many people, tea is just a beverage. But for me, it became a small part of daily happiness and human connection.

So on this International Tea Day, I just want to say:

Enjoy your tea.
Enjoy your conversations.
And make your day a little more productive and peaceful.

Happy Tea Day ☕❤️
